save text file via Flash-send variables to apps
Hi everybody:
I want ot know if its possible to save a text file using flash. also if its possible to send a variable to another application from flash. Thanks

In short NO, you cant save to a text file directly from flash. You used to be able to via the projector but not in mx+. You will need some form of scripting to do this. The macromedia technote has some ideas on what to use:
Macromedia Flash Player cannot write to a text file This is someone else asking a similar question with reguards to php and flash: PHP to save data to a text file How to create and submit a form in Flash 4 If you scroll down you will see Get URL and Load Movie actions send form values to a CGI or other server-side application , that will give you some pointers on passing variables around.
