saving to server side text file

Does anyone know how I can save to a text file on my server using flash as front end I only want one field and need it to append the file. I've tried downloading guestbook templates but don't know what to edit.

hi, i had similar problems once (back in the day :¬) Most of the time I you need to have some form of script running on the server to get the data to be written. What are you running as a server? I use PHP to read and write data. If you had any script files with the guestbook have a look and see what they use otherwise it may be available in the html file. Got this feeling I may be off base with this reply, maybe it doesnt make sense!
