Scrolling Text, editing the text variable

I've downloaded a scrolling text example from Moock.org. I've attached it. Does anyone know how you edit the text variable (this is the text that is influenced by the scrollbar?

To edit the text. Doudle click on the "a" in the action frame above the frame called scrillable text. This is an old way of doing it. I think this is a flash 4 file. Are you using flash 4???

If your using flash 5 here is an example of how to load the text from a text file. This also shows how to load several files into the same scroller. Great for file size and easy to update text.

Thanks, it worked. Actually, I'm working in Flash 5.0 but just hadn't encountered this before.

Your welcome,

I use .txt files as much as possible. I find the easiest way to learn flash is to play with source files. Have you checked out www.flashkit.com
or
www.were-here.com

There are tons! of flash files on these sites you can download and play with.

Best of luck to you.
