Size of imported items

I am importing many photos to a flash stage, 1024x768. The photos range in size from primarily 1200x7xx to odd sizes like 809x1200, 758x1200, and 1049x1200.
Is there a way to import the photos so that will maximize/snap to the stage size of 1024x768, or do they have to be sized properly prior to import?

Hi, if you use the MovieClipLoader class then you can look at what the dimensions are inside the onLoadInit event and then scale/position the photo at that point.

It would be better if you just correctly sized the images prior to loading them into Flash since (a) it would require less coding on your part and (b) it would be less intensive on the system since it wouldn't have to do the sizing calculations.

If you have the choice then I'd just resize the clips outside Flash so they were at the correct dimensions already.
