Sound control over different scenes

Sound control over different scenes

Hi guys;

I have a movie with multiple scenes.

In the first scene,

PHP Code:


		
			
 music = new Sound(myins);

music.attachSound("musicxx");

I have a mp3 file that has been linkaged to name; musicxx.

And as you may guess myins is the instance name for the sound to carry.

In the second scene, i have the following :

 music.start(0,999);

And i want to have some controls over this sound.
For example in a part of third scene i want to decrease the volume.

However, i can not control the sound anymore

PHP Code:


		
			
 music.setVolume(55);

is not working in a different scene that the sound starts.

For any help, more than welcome.

i wont even look at the rest of your post, scenes are BAD NEWS - DO NOT USE THEM.

if you want clarification as to why not, search the web.

they suck a la big time, and there in, no doubt is your problem.
use movieclips to organise.
