stopping a flash page from loading?
Hello all : )
I have this situation:
I have a flash page that loads to 300k, i have an exit button that takes you back to the home page. The exit button is small, so that means it loads up and function pretty quickly. The problem is that once it is pressed, by the time it starts to request and connect to go to the home page, theres like only 10k or sometimes the flash page is completely loaded before it goes back to the home page.
Is there a way, so that once the exit button is pressed, it will tell the browser to stop loading the flash and just go direct to the function thats been called which is to request and connect to the home page.
What I have noticed though, is that all flash sites i have seen, once the loading starts, or you enter the flash page, it doesnt have an exit button, just a skip intro at the start before you enter the flash page.
Is this because it can't be done?
Is it impossible for an action script inside your flash page to tell a browser to stop loading whats left of the flash file and just do the function at hand.
TIA
