Transparent Flash Movie

I've been struggling trying to make a transparent flash movie. I read somewhere on macromedia.com that a flash movie can not be transparent on top of another flash movie but it can be transparents on top of a html layer. I have been trying this for some time now and cannot get it to work. Does anyone have or know of a site that has one working that I can look at to see what I'm doing wrong? Am I maybe supposed to publish it some special way?

What do you mean exactly by a flash movie on top of another flash movie?

if you load swfs into levels, they are transparent. the background color (except for that on level 0) won't show through.

hello,

If you are trying to make the background of the flash movie transparent over html, you have to add a parameter to the html
i believe it is like this:

<param name="wmode" value="transparent">

but remember this will only work with IE not netscape.
