Can This be done????
I have a small flash movie constantly playing on my page. I've tried several different ways to have a mouseover effect come up on top of the flash movie, but it always comes up under the movie.
Is there any way to have the flash keep playing and have the roller come up on top of the movie by using layers?

Certain objects on a web page are immune to layering and will always appear on top (or 'through') a layer placed above them by z-index. These objects include form select lists, iframes, applets and, of course, flash movies. The only way around this (that I'm aware of) is to hide the offending object while the covering layer is visible, and then reveal it again when the covering layer is hidden. There's an example of this at:
It shows a form select list as an example, but the same code will work with flash. Hope that helps a little anyway.

Yo, why not make the Flash movie have your rollover in it?
Just make a big old, invisible button and when the rollover occurs have what you want to show up pop up on the top layer!
it'll work exactly the way you want i t to --trust me..tv
