I've just applied to navlemhosting as well. (fingers are crossed)

I think what a lot of these hosts are missing is that some of us are driven to make it in this business and with that, there really is no time for all this other nonsense, 50 posts in their request forum, sponser signups, clicks, points, endless waiting on emails, nonreplies, false replies, all the other crap that goes with it.

I just wanna take care of my business and assess my hosting choices.
to the point where I can afford to get into something more longterm, for cash!

Put your banner in the footer, where it won't screw my pages up, I have no problem with that.
Help me, and I help you.
I do it for hosts even when it's not required!

Here's an idea,

If you wanna offer hosting with all this other nonsense,

Make your topic title: "HEY KIDS!!"

.

Wait a sec... Do you have PHP4 installed on your servers? I seriously think that you should since 1. It's free and nowadays it's the standard and 2. You'd have a lot more people signing up. Unless you don't want that

Why are people so against posting in forum and other ideas. When you go to other forums and post, we don't see you complains.

When a host offer a service for free, they deserve something in return. For just a few posts in their forum is nothing, it drives out those lazy people, spammers, cheaters etc.

with no requirements, it would take ages for your application to get looked at. Why? Because thousands of people will signup and maybe it'll take one or even two months for your application to get approved.

would you rather wait 2 months or spend about 2 hours posting? It seem hard but its not.

what you really looking for when you are finding hosts is their quality. So what if you have to post? If that gives you better service and quality, its worth it. Try the host out before accually makes any complains.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I just want to explain to those who like to complains.

like you said, Help me and I'll help you.

ive got to agree dark...although i was 1 of the lucky ones to get free hosting from navlem i was totally surprised that it was COMPlETLY free

like the sayig goes..you shouldnt expect anything for nothing in this life
so whats a few posts on a forum, lets face it, nobody is forcing you to do it - if you want the hosting badly enough then you will do it

I'll help you, because I don't think you've played this game long enough to have a clue!

navlemhosting is for real by the way, no bull****, no games, no schemes.

I'm quite impressed so far

Anyway, What I've seen is an overabundance of kids with too much cash buying reseller acounts or dedicated servers to run their gaming crap on and then coming up with schemes to play "internet host" without a clue about customer service or support.
illusionfxnet.com (and some others who's names I've forgotten now) for example.
They pickup some hosting script off a warez site or some open source software and think that's all it takes to start promising the world.
They get in way over their heads and unfortunately waste a lot of time for those of us who are serious.

And all the other kids and amateurs think it's all just wonderfull. They buy all the bull**** excuses about box one this and box 3 that and the dog ate the server and ......

Gimme a break.

I have about 450 sites running between my own servers and 5 other free hosts.
3 of those free hosts are about to be dropped and the other 2 will likely be getting a cheque soon.

You see, that's the way it's supposed to work.

Yeah, you usually get what you pay for!

But if it's really good, you sometimes pay for what you get

Many thanks to Elliot at Sizzly WebHosting and Melvan at navlemhosting for helping to keep it real!

So you get it now? While I'm Filling my 451st site with content, you'll be posting in some kids forum to help out his ego while hoping you get noticed and get popular enough to qualify for some fly by night scheme.

Have a real nice day

I can understand how you feel. Most free hosts never last that long, usually closed after a few weeks.

But in those hosts, there are some that do try their best to keep their business up and running. Even if they require you to post doesn't mean they are bad.

If you are looking for customer service in a free host, you shouldn't expect greatness, but should expect somewhere in the middle or above it a bit. But if they can survive you can expect theyll improve in the future. That is if the host is really aiming to do their business well.

For best quality support you can look at paid host, which is what Navlemhosting and Sizzly Webhosting are, they just have a free plan to go with it. They can hire experienced people to answer your questions.
