Can anyone point me to some quality free providers?

Hi. Myself and about 10 other animators / writers have recently started up a site where we show off our stick figure animations. Since then, I have gone from free server to free server, because to begin with the server had a maximum file number limit, and then a filesize limit and then finally just some stupid ad script that clashed with my scripts and wouldn't let my site load.

So I now put my fate in your hands, wonderful people out there. I am in search of something.

• About 50 - 100 mb of diskspace
• Reasonable or no bandwidth limitations
• No stupid javascripts placed on my pages that will clash with mine
• Nothing that will tamper with the HTML or Jscript on my page
• Nothing else added to my site by the server that will slow loading times - I once had a server that added about 50kb of scripts and about 100kb of images
• Preferably a small footbanner, microbanner, or a text link
• No maximum number of files
• No max filesize - if there must be one, let it be no less than 4mb
• If it is possible at all, PHP and MySQL, although I don't really need them
• Browser acess - FTP won't work with me I'm afraid

That's about it. If anyone has had any actual experience with a server like this, can you please send me a link.

I can't use MSN for the same reason that I cannot use FTP. The connection I use is unfortunately on a Proxy and it doesn't allow any internet activity outside normal IE web browsing. No FTP, MSN, or anything else unfortunately.

I'm checking out WHM now. What's the deal with having to be a forum member?

Yup. Nothing outside IE, and I cannot get my own connection.... have to go through the work one.

I can use MSN at my local LAN though. If you're on MSN during 11am - 3pm, GMT +8:00 this Friday - that's my Friday... I'll probably be able to get on MSN.

The whole thing's wierd, but since it's a government job, they're against MSN and for that matter, just about everything outside IE that needs the net.

... Galacnet does not seem right for me - too little storage space. My site's going to hold animations, about 0.5 to 2 mb in size, and I'll need space for about 20 of the latest movies and about 20 of the best - and that's quite a small collection for 10 animators worth.

I'm checking out that WHM-hosting thing. Seems okay, but I haven't seen it all yet. Unfortunately these free web host providers do not show things like "max file size" or "max file number", so I'll try uploading something really massive, and then a hundred or so other things just to see if it'll all fit.

The one I am recommending is our special free hosting service but then... if you can't FTP to your site I don't think you can access the site.....

I could activate for you space up to 100 or more MB but you can't load certain files with that system... ( eg. php, asp etc )

Could you please? - I mean if it's still free. I guess I feel more secure right now talking to someone who runs the thing, rather than going through some commercial thing and not knowing what's going on.
Anything like max file size or max no. of files. I guess another big deal is scripts being placed on the site - Geocities and Angelfire mess my javascript up.
No PHP and stuff is cool - after finding a number of PHP hosts and losing them, I just decided to make my current site easy to switch between the static and dynamic. Anything else I can't load, or did you just mean that you don't have the server-side apps.
