free php, cgi web host
i'm looking for a free webhost (obviously) for my personal site....
50mb space bandwidth, not sure, not too much php cgi i'd use it for my personal site, which is more of an experimental site than anything, learning php so i need somewhere to test, as well as host my personal site. no ads would be awesome, but i don't mind a small banner add, not popup but actually on page site currently at My Current Site it may take time to load, as the server that i'm using has gone crappy all of a sudden anyways, hoping to hear from sum1 soon phatmat |

Hey
I can help you out. i was like you once, and still am, learning php.
send me a PM or email to questions@mailhorde.com and i will set you up. i need your name, domain name, and email address. A simple "Powered by Mail Horde" would be fine and make the Mail Horde link to http://hosting.mailhorde.com/. PS I know the link doesn't work yet. I am still designing the site. I also own budjethosting.com (2 years and running), andrewkimball.com (3+), and some others, and will be putting you on those servers. I am trying to bring all the domains together so that i can get rid of some of em. Andrew Kimball Mail Horde, LLC |

You could easily get a domain name for like $10 a year. The bad news is that you usually have to have either a credit or debit card, or a checking account. Sometimes you can find a local DNS provider to register with, and just hand some guy the money. All is not lost though, if you are willing to do some legwork. What are you going to experiment with, exactly? PHP is a mighty BIG language when you consider what it can do. (also a thought, if you just want to play with php, try sourceforge.net and search apache2triad... good stuff, easy setup)
