i am wondering witch is the latest ipb i can use with out haveing to pay for it is it 1.2.1 or 1.3.1

You are both wrong its 2.0.0 Its the trial version except its completely unlimited and no posting limits the only bad thing is you have to find it. Or you can get the 2.0.3 and modify the copyright stuff to make it look legal.

1.3.1 ISN'T a free full version, its a TRIAL!
And you NOT supposed to use Trials after 30 days or something like that...
There are sites that let you download 1.3 (even though they shouldn't)

You can use 1.3 its redistributeable. I don't think 1.2 is. By the way look at invisionfree.com what type of boards do they give for free??

I would use 1.2 since its easier to get.

Which versions are redistributable and which are not?
I thought versioins 1.x were free and you could redistribute them.

I am technically not supposed to say this but v2.0.3 can be free if you download the demo version and use the Copyright Mod. It chages the number on the IPB Report and adds a *fake* license to the board its hard to tell.

As for 1.2 they are not redistributable but as a recommendation just give out IPB 1.2 to staff of your site only.

I am not 100% sure that 1.3 is redistributable but if you want to double check go the IPB web-site and e-mail the support.
