I think Shoutcast takes up a lot of system resource thats why the hosting response is so bad :P Why not try a paid host?

hey,
I do shoutcast. I have my own 10,000 max user server... except it takes too much system resource so I charge people for it. Nobody will take on your deal nomatter how hard you try...

Have you tried searching for a shoutcast server? or looked for a provider for internet radio stations?

i have tried but the cheapest i have found is £19 per 10 people on a 24kbps encoder :P

i need cheaper cus thats kinda a rip off :P

tell me some sites pls

I know this thread's quite old now, but if anyone here is still looking, we are about to launch our SHOUTcast hosting service. We've designed a web-based control panel so you can select all the options you want. You can specify your own max listener count and most of the options in the SHOUTcast config file are open to you. Pricing is bandwidth-based, and you get 100MB of webspace to upload your MP3's for ondemand streaming (and intro/backup files).

It's all UK based to reduce lag, and quite cheaply priced
