Still looking.
Hey guys, i've found web hosts , many free ones that offer on average 10-20 mb max. Now, what i'm looking for is a free host with no features (it can have features, but i don't really care) with 100+ mg free web space. If anyone knows of such a host, please post below!

just to clarify it for myself: you don't care about any features? you just want somewhere to store lots of stuff online?

Nope, I'm building a site for a band. They have lots of their own songs that need to be put up on the site. Songs take up a lot of space, hence i need space.
So, this is not for my personal storage......lol.

i dont no of any thing other than online-drive type things, maybe you should just get a lot of accounts at one of those 10-20 Mb space site things, then you will (effectively) have a lot of space.

I guess I could get 5+ accounts and basically make one big site, but is there a free 100 meg+ free hosting around?

There are some but they either say you need "quality sites" or it has a bunch of ugly ads. Go here: www.clickherefree.com Some of them look pretty good actually.

Yeah! thanks for the site #define Gangsta. Some let you have 999 megs for free. The only problem is most of those sites have a file upload size limit of a small 900 kb. That wont' work for the mp3's of the band i'm helping. If anyone comes across a 100 mb+ free hosting that lets you upload .mp3 files and file sizes that are big (5 mgs+), let me know.

yea, like most of the ones i've seen hav a max file size of around 2-3 Mb.

sweet site.thx, but what if they think that the mp3's i have are copyrighted mp3's. they are just mp3's that the band i'm helping out has recorded......could they take legal action against me if they think that i have copyrighted mp3's hosted at exaltedhosting?

just tell that band to give you a written permission thing that u can fax to the hosting ppl, then it should be ok

I just did a quick search on google & found this http://www.free-web-page-space.com/ the first one looks ok, 0Catch.com, it says you get 100mbs of FREE web space! but you are limited to a 20megs daily bandwidth limit, you also get FTP access.
Let me know if you try it & it's good!! nester
