500 Illegal Port - Cute FTP


Whenever i connect ftp then firstly it asked for authentication then after auth. complete, it waited for 1 min. then some other commands then it says "500 Illegal Port" ... it does not show any folders or files on my server.

Does anyone know it this .... plaease help me.

If you are running your own server in Lan, some times it gives you this error when typeing yourdomain.com in ftp programs
try your server's box ip "example 192.168.1.2" then your log in information.

now i solved it was my ISP problem, i had turned my FTP port off and the reason it was giving this message.
