Apache 1.3.9 feeBSD 4.9, limiting directory listing

HI,

I have installed ftp server on freeBSD, but when I ftp to my server as one of the freeBSD system users, I dont see the www directory...

Where do I limit/expand the amount of directories that a user can see via hes ftp login?

You're in the wrong forum for this question, but since I'm not a moderator, I wont be too hard on you

You'll need to refer to the doumentation for the FTP daemon you are running., and modify the permissions of the user to be able to see the directory in question.. Or change the FTP home directory to be in a directory above your WWW.. Remember to check you file system permissions, if you get an access denied.

Or in my case, I have my clients DocumentRoot's as a sub-dir of thier home dir, that way when the login, it is right there.

If none of this helps you, I'd try the BSD forum, just make sure you check out the docs and MAN pages first...

Please post in the correct forum. Take the time to familiarize yourself with your options by reading the forum descriptions on the main forum page. You have threads all over the place.

Change their home directory in their user accounts then. You can do this by running vipw.
