Apache 1.3 and FTP

I have Apache 1.3.26 and RH Linux 7.3. I am wodering all of the steps that I have to do to allow FTP to my server. I will be wondering like how do i create usernames and passwords, and stuff like that.

Thanks, Justin

Oh, okay, sorry about that. I was beginning to think that it didnt have to do anything with it once I thought about it more. So if I wanted to upload to a directory on my Linux server, what would I do? I already have a FTP client, SmartFTP. So what do I have to do on the Linux side?

Thanks, Justin

I have the same problem but cannot use the recommended product as an ftp server as it is for Unix only and the website says it does not support the Windows platform. What else is there?

I have used PHPTriad to set up Apache, php and MySQL on an internal network and cannot access the server using WS_FTP LE as it asks for a username which I do not know as I haven't been asked to set one up... and I wouldn't know where to do this either. Please help!

I used to use something called WAR FTP Server... It worked fine, but that was a while ago.

Got to VersionTracker or Shareware.com to find many other FTP servers.
