Can configure Apache to accept ftp?
I want to make it where Apache accepts ftp requests. This is so people can update their webpages automatically using the "compose" feature on Mozilla. Is there a way of doing this without getting an ftp server? If I must get an ftp server do you have any recommendations on which one and possible configurations that will fit in nicely with Apache?
Thanks |

Yes, if it (Mozilla) also supports HTTP-PUT method, WebDAV or similar. They are built in or available as module for apache. Quote:
Which ftp server to use depends on your OS, any can do the job. Apache does not care at all. For unix, I'd recommend proftpd and I vote strongly against Wu-FTPd ("offering remote root access for everybody to your box for over 10 years..." LOL) hth, M.
