Converting files - ASCII to binary

    Hello
I downloaded file via FTP in ASCII mode (it is a SQLITE database) and it doesn't work now. I cannot download it again. I should have downloaded it in binary mode. Is there possibility to convert this file so it looks exactly the same as if it was downloaded in binary mode?

    Thanks in advance for help.

Not really. ASCII mode converts newlines across the different platforms, but with binary files you can't know which ones were converted or how.

Besides blindly trying every possible combination, which is not in fact really possible to do, I think you're out of luck.

I managed to repair it by using fixgz under Ubuntu. Use Google to search for instruction how to use it. It saved my life
