Easy Questions PROFTPD
What commands to I put into my proftpd.conf file to allow a user to be able to: UPLOAD, OVERWRITE, DOWNLOAD, DELETE, CREATE DIRECTORIES, RENAME FILES ETC? Please let me know! I can't seem to upload via ftp! I'm using RedHat 9. This is a fresh install of proftpd that I did. Thankz!! |

More of a question than an answer...
Have you tested your server yet? - I have been messing with this program for 4 months and I cannot chroot normal users to their home directories - they can surf the entire directory structure once they're in... I'm even on a users mailing list and eveyone said my config file looked correct, etc. Did this thing work for you in that way? Anonymous works fine and I've followed the docs to a tee..... Thanks. RH 7.3, by the way.
