i'm making an intranet for my company and
i can't run directly the php configration to make "--enable-ftp", because i'm using an internal mail system with its own php "Merak Mail System", all i can edit in is the php.ini, and i still wanna enable FTP. How can i do that?? Thank you |

Hi
ftp is available by default on windows, you do not need to compile anything! Also just so you know, the underlying library in Merak is the same one used in the distro of PHP, you can call or add PHP ftp function calls in your Merak webmail, but I would dump there webmail server as it is slow has no real support for managing there http server and go with Apache and use 'Mail For Nuts' or 'V-webmail', this way you don't waste an a IP just to run Merak's awful webmail system! sorry, didn't get it
i didn't realy get what u r talking about...guess i'm somehow stupid
![]() anyway, i can't realy now migrate to another mail server because my whole system depends on Merak now so i guess i'm stuck with it, and its only an internal not external system. my problem so far is that when i call ftp_connect() function it gives me the error of "call to undefined message" !! thx for ur patience |
