error vsftpd

Why is it, when i'm looking at the /var/log/messages i see lines like these:
Sep 14 08:22:46 server vsftpd: warning: can't get client address: Bad file descriptor

i'm running rh9, before that i was running rh7.3, and there you could see how was logging in, you could see the ip adres, and if it was availeble the name connected to the ip adress and the name used to login to the ftp server. But here it doesn't anymore. I was wondering if that could be fixed.

I have the same problem in Redhat 9.0 kernel 2.4.20-31.9 and vsftp version 1.1.3-8.

Thank for help
