examples uploaden files using ftp in php ??

i found at www.php.net the functions
ftp_connect(), ftp_put(), etc..
and wonder if there are some examples how to
upload files with those functions to the server ??

or can anyone post an example here in this forum ??
i searched this whole forum at this subject,
but can't find a nice example ;(
