Files don't show from FTP session
System is FreeBSD 6.1 running pure-ftpd. For some reason some files and directories are not showing up when I connect over ftp. I can see that the file are there from a shell and that the user logging in through ftp has read acess to the files. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I have no idea what would cause this to happen. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your either not FTP'ing into the correct place (ie not configured properly on the server, maybe into the equivilant of "restricted"), or the user account your trying to ftp with does not have permission to list files and folders. I'd look at these first. do you sucessfully logon to the server or do you get any warnings/errors?
I should say I've never used BSD of any flavour, but this is what can happen in windows so I would look at this first. Displeaser |

The user has ownership and rw access to the files and directories. I can even upload files through ftp and not see them through ftp even though they are on the server. Most of the files I have no problems with, it's just a few of them for some reason. I am going to download the latest kernel today and see if there are any upgrades for pure-ftpd.

Post back here with the results. Interesting to find out what it is. So it's just a few files that you dont see, so if you to upload 10 files you might only see 8? |

Well, I upgraded the kernel and pure-ftpd but it still does it. If i create a directory it won't even show up through ftp. It's very strange.
