Free File Storage,Ftp or something

ok I'm new but been looking through tons of sites and reading over about 100's of reviews and TOS's...so far I've gotten no where so I thought I'd post on a forum about it

I'm trying to find a free web hosting company,that I hope will allow me to store files...archives hopfully...mainly .zip,.uha(ultra high archive),etc. and it's mainly for backup...like a free online ftp or something

I did some reasearch and found a thing on geek.com about Xdrive and others...which of course aren't free...infact I've tired and been through what seems like every web host there is,even some non-english ones...the only thing I've came to is a Free Tripod site or something like that...but of course,after making a account and a site...and storing and uploading some files...about a week later I get a email notice saying "Lycos NewsFlash,your site has been removed for abusive Remote Loading or Direct Linking"...knowing tripod if I made a page endorsing AOL with a link to AOL.com they would call it direct linking...also tripod only gives me 20 megs...and as I stated,deletes free sites at random will...without warning...no matter what's wrong...also I still have 2 tripod accounts which can't be canceled nor deleted...cus all tripod/lycos abuse can tell me is I was remote loading/directly linking and my site was takened down big whoop

I thought I'd post and hope someone would email me or something about a free site host or something with ftp access...allows for online storage...and is at least more then 20 megs or more...I don't need alot of space...just a site/online storage thingy

can anyone help me out...with this? and yes I need a free one...I've tried and wasted $40 on about 5 different other hosts whom for a fee let me "try" thier premium services....and got no where with that...thankfully I managed to get $25 of that $40 back from those sites...via credit card policys

if anybody can help me or email me about it,or reply,PLEASE Do,I would've formatted a month ago...and probably even went out and bought a cd burner...but I keep and kept searching for online storage for free
