How is it possible to access a password-protected ftp server without using the ftp functions? This assumes you have a valid username and password to log-in, and aren't trying to crash the server's security. Yahoo Web Hosting doesn't support the ftp functions like ftp_get and ftp_put, or anonymous ftp, but it says it supports the Filesystem functions. I haven't been able to use any of these to access my ftp server with the IE browser. I can login using FTP Explorer, but the point is to use PHP to permit registered customers to download large files via 56K modem. Before I move my site off Yahoo, I'd like to invesitgate all possibilities. Thanks for any help here.
