I am backing up my websites using gzip, and am wandering if it is a security risk to FTP my backup.tar.gz files to my personal computer.
Since FTP is clear text, can a hacker who is "snooping" view my tar files as I download them by FTP? Thanks in advance for any help! |

He can't view the tar files, but he can sniff your login info and do all kind of evil things. |
