FTP Hangs on Mput
Hi Everyone,
I've I've just been searching the site to find an answer to my problem - but came up blank, hence this thread. Hope you can help, thanks in advance! I have BPFTP server and, at a remote site (linked by a broadband connection), a client that runs FTP from a Windows DOS box, automated with an FTP script, to transfer files to the server. Windows scheduler runs a batch file every 10 minutes, contents of this is:- Some file copying & renaming lines FTP -s:C:\Apps\FTP\ftpscript ftpscript is:- OPEN xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx username password BINARY PROMPT LCD C:\DATA\TIFFS MPUT *.TIF QUIT The client is running Windows XP Home SP2 (I've replicated the problem with XP Pro) It connects, transfers several (10 to 20) small files, 6Kb to 60Kb, then the DOS window freezes. If I hit the close window "X" button, (y'know, top right of the DOS box!) the FTP session continues sending the files! I get a Windows error screen and I click on "Cancel" and after some more small files transfer, the process repeats, hit the "X"... Wots goin' on? Problem with that users BPFTP a/c on the server? All ideas appreciated. |

Time in Forum!
Just to let you know, I spent my time searching as a guest, not the couple of minutes as a registered user!
