FTP nightmares
hey all. I am using WSFTP Pro to upload/download stuff from my site but...whaen i do lots of files it stops. the transfer rates dissappear and it just seems to stop so i have to do it in blocks...and now that there are many many files on my site this takes a long long time. I am not using passive mode as that is what my hosts say. They seem to think the problem is my router but cant help me sort it...can anyone suggest anything. It is just a netgear route with a firewall. i have zonealarm installed on my machine but i have turned it off and i get the same thing..
any help would be great...im not sure what more info you may need but let me know if there is any !! Thanks very much RF

It sounds like your router is unable to sustain an FTP connection for a long duration. It probably times out after a certain time. Can you try a different router, or even get the router out of the picture just to see if it works fine?
