FTP Outside LAN
Hello
I got my FTP runnin on LAN, but how i get it to work so i would get acces outside my LAN. I am pretty new at this stuff.
I have all ports open and I am running a Win 7 x64 Ulti
Ohh and i am behind a home router ( Thomson TG784 )

Did you forward the port(s) as well within the router?

there was allready a FTP Server fowarding done and i did try to do it myself aswell but the portfoward site had some strange instructions (maybe outdated)
but in the end didnt seem to get it to work
if you got some time maybe you whanna give me some pointers via msn?

Sorry, but I don't use instant messengers very often.
Your ISP may be blocking the port, in which case you would need to set it up on a different port and then forward the appropriate port.
Try setting your server to listen on another port and see if that works.

that dosent really tell me much xD
maybe you can refer to a guide that gives step by step instructions??
OT for my part but maybe you can PM me a manual abou mail servers aswell? (nothing to complicated, still new at this)

With hardly any information to off of, I can't really send you a link to a manual for FTP, nor for mail.
What FTP server are you running?
Do you have a preference of mail server?

FTP server.. i tryed the Windows 7 built in one (IIMES or whatever it was  )
And on the mail server, not really (as long i can run Linux on a virtual server for starters and its easy enouf to understand for a beginner + in the future improvable)
Thats why i asked if youd be abel to couch me live, this forum posting aint that effective
