Question ftp_put from client -> server ?

Yo.

I've been looking at ftp_put, and especially the HTML_Progress_Uploader PEAR class, but I'm starting to wonder if all of this is true....

Can you use ftp_put to transfer a file from a client's desktop to the remote server? Using all the brain power I have, I can't see how this is possible, yet this PEAR class claims it does.... Is he simply confused and mistaken?

Anyways, somebody clue me (or him) in here!

Justin
