Question FTP server automatically enforces binary transfers only

Hi,

I've got a RedHat box running an FTP server. Whenever I try to transfer files to it, the server automatically transfers in binary, even if I enforce ASCII from my side. This also happens when trying to download files off the FTP.

Any ideas?? Something seems to be configured incorrectly.

Thanks,
Ralph.
