FTP setting

Dear Friends,

Can anyone guide me to set up an FTP connection between two systems. Should one of those systems have a Server Operating system?

Is it possible to have FTP connection between two windows XP systems?

You can do this between two XP systems, and you don't necessarily need a server operating system. However, what you will need is FTP server software running on one of the computers and an FTP client on the other computer. Then you'll need to open the appropriate ports on the router/firewall at the server end.

what are those softwares? If we have a windows 2003 server, are these softwares required?
