FTP / SSH not accepting connections from certain IPs
Hello,
I am running SUSE Linux with Proftp and SSH. All was working fine until yesterday. Nothing was changed in teh configs, but suddenly both FTP and SSH have stopped allowing logins from our office. I am fine connecting from my dialup at home (which doesn't have a fixed IP). Both SSH and FTP allow the user to connect but then kick you out with an incorrect password error. Can anybody point me in the right direction to see what has happened. I have restarted FTP and it made no difference. Incidentally I did this by killing the proftpd process and then restarted. Thanks |

Are they running as a standalone or thru inetd? If they are up and running, are they binding to the proper IP? It could even be a DNS problem.

Is it possible that someone messed with the firewall?
