    Red face ftp and telnet


    anyone know of a tutorial or an easy how-to on how to get a FTP server set up using redhat 7.1 and/or to get telnet access up and running..
    I would appreciate it, thanks

    so long as you have telnet and ftp installed on your system (which you should have - they usually go in with a custom installation), I guess all you need to do in addition is ensure that you have the daemon processes running. You can make sure they sart whenever the system boots by adding lines into your ?initd? files. You might have to edit your /etc/hosts.allow file to allow connections from the world.... I'm not an expert on this stuff, so hopefully someone will post back and we will both learn something.
