ftp to localhost - unable to connect??? Why
Hi
I'm running a distro of WinLamp on WinXP. I also use Filezilla to upload files. Is it possible on the same PC, to upload my files to Apache using FileZilla?? Unless it's just my config, it says it's "unable to connect". I set it up with: host: 127.0.0.1 port: 21 servertype: ftp logontype: normal tried root as password. I might get flamed here, but I have ftp'ed to another box, using filezilla. Any thoughts guys? |

Apache does not offer ftp services. "Another box" must have got some ftp server installed.

Thanks. I forgot that Fedora installed many services by default. At least you've allayed my fear that I was totally mad. |

Don't take this for a recommendation, but I heard "serv-u" was quite a decent ftp server for windows. Google should help you find it. I am moving this to the FTP forum maybe somebody else can recommend a windows FTP server. HTH, M. |
