ftp user
I am having a problem assigning ftp permissions to a new user I created. For some reason the gui interface will not come up so I can not access the groups to add the user to. How can I give a user ftp access from the shell?

I'm very new to linux, and I don't know how to do it, but I'm about 99.9% sure you can.
