i can't download pics due to chmod being 600
hey all, i am having trouble downloading pictures from my site using my ftp client (filezilla). i think it is because the chmod on the images is set to 600. Would this be correct? Is there a way i can mass change the chmod of the images, i can't do it 1by1 as there are 372 so that would take a lifetime. I tried selecting the images and right clicking and changing permissions but it said that the operation could not be done. Is there a way using cPanel that i could do this?? ican't see a way other that one by one..

Have you tried another FTP client. I tried Firezilla recently and did find it a bit unpredictable.

hey. sorry i meant to post last night but i was so tired. i found out that it was becuse the files had perms of 600 that i could not chage the perms. i had to get my host to sort it.

as for filezilla i have found it better than wsftp, cuteftp and anotherone that i can't remember the name of!!! i guess it is just personal preference!!

thanks anyway for the suggestion
