Max size for ftp upload/download
Hi,
This is not directly related to Linux but all Unix based systems.. Is there any limit to which u can upload/download files from to *ix machine via FTP? if it is what r the issues it depends on..? TIA Anurag |

Depends on disk space.
Or perhaps there could be a theoretical limit ... but I doubt you could generate a file of the size that would be an issue. Couple terabytes at least... perhaps I'll look that up. Also the ftp daemon can be set to cap the uploads.

have a look at quota(1) or ftpd(8).
with quotas you can restrict it also for shell access. |
