Need help with FTP in IIS

Hi
I just joined and I could use your help.

I recently created an ftp with a spare computer so that me and some friends can exchange some files. I am using the one that came with windows xp PRo under IIS

My problem is everyone but one person can log in. we put the address for the ftp and his internet explorer will not allow him in. an error comes up on his computer but dissapears before we can read it. Is there a setting that he is missing.

Anyone help would be great since I am new to this.
he is also running windows xp pro

Thanks
