Please Help! FTP Login Problem!
Hey Gurus,
I am writing to this forum because, I could not figured it out by myself. And as always, am diverted to you to ask for help which I am really glad for. I am running a test ftp server. As all you know, I am a newbie. I have a problem which I could not solve by myself. i.e. when I brows the ftp server address with other computer, I don't get a "login dialog box" ![]() Instead of asking a user/password, it just takes me to the pub folder. Could you please guide me that how can I put this dialog that whenever I brows my ftp server with IE, it should bring a USER/PASSWORD dialog box. So, I could login and brows the computer. Bundle of Thanks to you... VJ...... |

Open your IIS Magenment and bring up the properties for your FTP. There is a security tab there with a box checked to allow anonymous connections, uncheck it and the server should use your current windows users, provided they have a password. If you don't have one, you can create an account for the FTP account in the Users setting in your Computer Management menu.
