problem with FTP access
A friend owns a paid domain name which he doesn't use, so he offered to give me his available webspace for my own site. He gave me FTP access (he's more or less a n00b, btw), and I can upload files on his server, BUT I can't access them from the web, because I don't know where they are located. I'm not sure which directory I have access to, and I can't go to any parent folder from my ftp client. It's not www.domainname.com/filename.xxx , I tried that.
Any idea how I can figure out in which directory are the files I upload? (he has no idea either) ![]() |

With my setup they either have to be in the www or public_html folder.
