Hi folks,
I sucessfully installed proFTPD with MySQL for authorization. I can now ftp to my directories set in the associated mysql database. My problem is that when I see the ftp folders in my FTP Client SmartFTP I have permission denied when I try to upload files/folders. proftpd and apache are both setup as root. How can I allow ftp users to upload into the directories? When I installed proFTPD I didnt create any new users or groups. (I'm sure its a simple solution) <-- I'm a newbie. Any help appreciated. ![]() |

i think the problem lies in the directory permissions.
the dir where mysql db points must be owned by same uid&gid as pointed in the mysql. hope it helps. I had that problem for a while myself |
