proxies and FTP

I have osx tiger, I'm trying to set up a passive firewall to allow FTP connections to my servers cause turning my firewalll on and off each time I need to upload something is getting to be a pain.

I think I have everything set up right, but it tells me I need to enter a proxy server for the connection to go through? Where do I find the address of a proxy server? I have Cox and I live in Oklahoma, I've looked around put I can't find any servers that I should use.

You're help would be appreciated.
