Remote sites blank

Hi,

We use an FTP server called Gene6. As we dont allow users in our workplace to go direct to FTP resources we setup remote directories they can access in the following format:

ftp://userassword@ftp.site.name

Some of these do not list the directories properly and all thats returned is blank directories. Would anyone happen to know what could cause this or any possible resolutions?

One thing I can think of, is if the FTP server has the users or groups shared directory's pointed to a mapped network drive, then remap them using the actual network path rather then the mapped drive itself.
