RH9 and ProFTPd

Does Red Hat 9 have any issues compiling the current version of ProFTPd?

It's my understanding that the compiler in RH9 is slightly different than the one in RH8, and that certain apps have some problems without patches. Yes, I Googled and searched this site, but perhaps I missed something...

redhat9 uses default gcc3.2, but that shouldn't be a problem.

only when you have to compile kernel modules you might have to set the CC enviroment var
eg:
export CC=gcc32

afaik, everything else should compile without a problem.
