Serv_U ftp server set up - DNS problem or not?
Hi,
I am setting up my ftp server and it seems having problem to connect. I am trying to connect using the browser with ftp://<username>:<password>@ftp.kingsource.com:28 getting a operation time out error. My configurations are: Serv_U personal ftp server. Since I am using my DSL connection, I set it with Dynamic IP option. I used port 28 for the ftp server. My zone file is attached below. I created an a aliase (CNAME)ftp.kingsource.com for the ftp purpose. But I am not sure should I point it to www2.kingsource.com ot just kingsource.com. I tried both and neither worked. My server's internal IP is 192,168.0.2 Thanks for your help! Bryan |

Do you have a router? If so, you'll need to set it up to have ftp connections coming in on whatever port to forward to 192.168.0.2 on port 28.
