SFTP Permission denied, please try again.
Hi,

I'm trying to connect to a unix server using via SFTP and i always get Permission denied, please try again. I tried using the same user id to connect to same server via FTP and it went okay. What must be the problem? Thank you in advance..

Nope. SFTP is already installed in that machine. After I entered the password that's where I get the permission denied error. The user id is already existing in that server.

the user id that i'm using doesn't have telnet and command line access. is it a requirement for sftp unlike in ftp?
