Slooow FTP Transfer speeds
Help a friend and I are Transferring files via FTP to each other using Bulletproof software(i'm the server he is the client). We both have cable broadband service i am cox he is mediacom.
The fastest speed that we have is 60k a sec now with cable broadband it should be much faster than that correct. |

not necesarily how many other internet related programs are u running. kazaa and thing like that cut it down alot. if ur on aim or any other im software sometimes it does (rarely tho)

I'm not running anything else just Bulletserver.

was it always like this. i have heard problems like this where there are slow transfer speeds.

Umm i had a problem similar to this but it wasnt part of your ftp program is was your pc
open internet explore > Tools > Internet Options... Avanced tab: User Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility) Uncheck that box. if works than this was your prob if not.... heh i tried |

do not use passive ftp its not secure, nor does it do much for the speed
|
