SOHO Router

Hello All,
This is just a discussion...

I Have a very simple SOHO router...
i came accross something called as port scanning and
i port scanned my router : 192.168.1.1....
turns out there is a ftp server on this router (strange isnt it??)

i ftp'ed to this router and i came accross a couple of strange files (configuration files i assume)....

could there be a way that if i "put" normal files on this router then will i be able to retrieve it from the internet?

just asking i am aware of the existence of Web Servers that i can use to host files but still....

What is the model of the router.

Personally, i would not be happy to have my routers configuration files available to the public.
